My Dad and Dawn came to town for Easter weekend - and what a great weekend it was! It started with Papa and Dawn picking Jalen up from daycare and taking him to Sky High for some good old fashion trampoline time. Looks like Jalen and Papa had a blast!:
My Dad is SO amazing at woodworking! He has made so many things for us, including a beautiful wagon for Jalen, a number of bookshelves around the house, Jalen's bed/night stand/and shelf in his room, and an amazing rocking horse also in Jalen's room. Once again, he came bearing hand-made gifts...this time he had made these incredible Oregon Duck adirondack chairs. Jalen and Aliyah love them!
Aliyah and Jalen's daycare puts on the most amazing Easter hunt/party each year with the Easter bunny, brunch, activities, and of course a great hunt. I love that the kids can go out with their same-age peers (yes even Aliyah got a chance to hunt for eggs with her infant friends) without being tackled by older kids and it all being over in two minutes. Jalen found one of the winning eggs and won a special basket of goodies. Here are some pics from the event:
Back at home, we spent the rest of Saturday watching The Masters, making Easter cupcakes, and just hanging out. Scott and I then enjoyed a night out together, which was MUCH appreciated!!:
Sunday morning consisted of Church and brunch back at our house. Scott's cousin Steph also joined us...always good to see her! Here are a few shots we took before heading off to Easter service:
