Papa Came to Visit

Papa made a very special trip to Portland to visit and deliver Jalen's Christmas gifts that couldn't make the original trip on the plane. Jalen was SOOO excited to see Papa!! He went right to him with open arms and couldn't get enough of Papa. Here are a few pics we captured over the weekend:

Saturday Night: We went to dinner downtown at one of our favorite Irish restaurants, Paddy's and watched the Harlem Globetrotters, which was very entertaining!

Sunday: We made a trip to the Children's Museum, which is never-ending fun for Jalen:

Jalen doing his own face-painting. Lovely!

One of Jalen's special Christmas gifts was a hand-crafted wagon created by Papa. He even personalized an Idaho Vandals license plate. #1

Papa and Jalen taking the new wagon for a test-drive.

Such a smooth ride...it put him to sleep.

Happy Valentine's Day

What a perfect Valentine's Day!! It started with a special breakfast at Jalen's daycare...it was so nice to spend that time with him. Scott then took us out to a new sushi restaurant on the water - yummy!! We then came home to open presents and enjoy our brownie/ice cream dessert. A day full of love from the most amazing husband and incredible son - who could ask for anything more.

Love Your Heart Night

My school has a night we call, Love Your Heart Night. It's a night to promote healthy living and exercise. There are several stations set up around the school for Zumba Dancing, running, rope climbing, Kickboxing, Yoga, stretching, etc. I wish I had some better pictures of the evening...what I have doesn't show what a big event it was and I missed a lot of shots of Jalen getting involved with the kids.

Joe (5th grade student) giving Jalen the run-down on how to do a proper sit-up.

Jalen working on his six-pack.

Receiving a sticker for a job well done (students get a sticker for each station they complete on their map).

Edward giving Jalen a sticker for his good work on the bean-bag throw. Our boy has quite the arm.

Oregon Basketball

We were invited to join Scott's Uncle Ron and Aunt Sue in Eugene for a University of Oregon basketball game. U of O has a beautiful new arena that is unbelievable. It was so fun to spend time with them and to see Jalen's enthusiasm throughout the game. It was non-stop, "Where's the duck! Where's the duck!?" from Jalen. Thank you Ron and Sue for a great day in Eugene!!

We all went out to dinner after the game and joined Sue's son Shawn, his wife Peggy, and girls Chandler, Parker, and Taylor. It was so nice to meet up with everyone. The restaurant had a Mary-Go-Round for the kids to enjoy - Jalen was a little hesitant about it this time.

Jalen couldn't get enough of the Oregon Duck...still wanting to see him on Aunt Sue's phone.
