Happy Halloween

We had a great Halloween weekend filled with parties, football, and friends. Friday night was Jalen's daycare party as well as the Fall Festival at my school. We managed to squeeze them both in. It was a lot for J, but he had a great time playing with his friends and partaking in all the activities.
On Saturday, Jalen and Daddy went to the Lewis & Clark vs. Pacific Lutheran game with Derek and little Drew. (Scott coached at LC and graduated from PLU). Jalen loves watching football and had a great time with the guys!!
On Sunday, we met some friends at Bridgeport Village, where the kids got to trick-or-treat at all the stores. It was good practice for Jalen, as he was still trying to figure out the whole "trick-or-treat" routine. We ended the night with some trick-or-treating around the neighborhood. Each time the door opened he thought it was an open invitation to let himself in and hang out, which was hilarious. He got the hang of putting the candy in his bag and got a kick out of eating a piece when we got home. Pretty fun!!

Ellie's Birthday

We came to town for a few things, including Ellie's 2nd birthday. Auntie Annie and Uncle Devin threw a fantastic party with pumpkin carving, pizza, drinks, and lots of fun for the kids!! It's always great to be in Boise to visit our families.

The Birthday Girl!

Ellie's first dollhouse.
Ellie was in the middle of singing Jalen one of her favorite songs - "Elephant, Elephant..."
Still singing - SO cute!!!

Once again, Ellie was so patient with Jalen, letting him play with her new golf set.

Daddy and Jalen watching Ellie open up gifts.

If given an open space and a little tune, this kid will start a dance party of his own...he loves it!!

Struttin' his stuff.

Jalen was so excited to meet Auntie Abbey's new puppy...what a sweet dog!

Loves for Cousin Ayden

Pumpkin Patch

We took advantage of two nearby pumpkin patches this weekend. We went to Fir Point on Saturday with several of Jalen's (and Mommy & Daddy's) buddies and then had a great Sunday afternoon at Bagenstos Farm with our neighbor/friends, the Hutchins. Unfortunatly our camera battery died before the second farm. We are always in awe that we can drive just a mile away from our house and be in the most beautiful rural area. We are surrounded by gorgeous wineries, farms, and open spaces.

Visit from Neenah and Bumpa

We had a great weekend with Neenah and Bumpa - filled with lots of college football, a little shopping, a trip to the Children's Museum, the park, and just being together. Thanks for coming to visit.

"I love you Neenah and Bumpa"

Jalen's favorite part of any park...the slide. He turns on his tummy and goes down with giggles.

Checking out all the fun gadgets in the "Water Works" exhibit.

Jalen loves water!!

He was so fasinated by watching the water go round and round.

Special loves for the newly adopted puppy.

Jalen's daycare sends out monthly newsletters highlighting what each group/child is up to. The last newsletter predicted that Jalen would show up as a construction worker for Halloween, as "he's happiest when he's moving furniture, building with blocks, or helping to push the lunch cart back to the kitchen." To no surprise - he loved the "Garage" exhibit.

"Let's see if I can get this thing working."

Checking out his work.

Jalen was having a great time going in and out of the tunnels in the "Garden" exhibit."

"Peek-a-boo"

Jalan loved watching the fish swim by.
